I would recommend Linux Mint as Ubuntu has gone downhill in the past few years plus Linux Mint looks pretty nice out of box and is IMO set up a little better. This makes perfect sense for netbook users, as Ubuntu. As you might assume, Eeebuntu is based on Ubuntu. I tested Pepermint,Linpus,Kubuntu Plasma Active,Ubuntu12.04,Zorin. This Eee PC-focused distribution might well be the best Linux for the netbook. Linux will require a little tweaking, but very very basic things because most everything should be working 90% correctly out of the box! (things like auto-rotate of the screen when you push a button, or swivel it into/ out of tablet mode, and maybe a few other minor things) Since my last post Ive playing around with different Linux configs.

It is becoming the new standard for tablet (using nvidia tegra processor) and they work on android 3.0 kernel Linux. The instructions contain information for getting the stylus, stylus rotation, and screen rotation to work properly on such devices. I think it would be very usefull to make Linux Mint work on the tablet with tegra inside like Acer A500, Asus transformer. This article aggregates information to get Arch Linux working on a tablet PC. Tablets, being computers, do what other personal computers do, but lack some input/output (I/O) abilities that others have. for me, the best and more friendly distribution. unless you want to learn the way to dual boot Linux along side Windows. A tablet computer, commonly shortened to tablet, is a mobile device, typically with a mobile operating system and touchscreen display processing circuitry, and a rechargeable battery in a single, thin and flat package. The KDE-powered Vivaldi tablet project has been killed, leaving Ubuntu Touch as our only hope for a Linux-first tablet.

Linux should be easy to do, though I would recommend either installing to a different HDD/ SSD drive so you can keep your windows install intact.

Because of 'tech target's' agreement, talk of running apple software on non-apple hardware isn't allowed (off the record: it will not end up as good as osx on mac is, and it won't be easy to get it to a point where things are working well -piss poor base drivers in OSX means many things may 'work' after lots of effort, but will be very buggy, and not work in the way you would want them to)
